Chemotherapy: one of those specialities that can seem intimidating to new coders at the beginning of their training. But this course will remove any fear or trepidation you may have.

In this session we are going to look at the basics of coding neoplasms​. We will learn about the neoplasm table in the ICD-10 Alphabetical Index​, how to code primary and secondary neoplasms and how to code associated conditions and symptoms of neoplasms.

In this course, you will build on what you have already learnt in Neoplasms 1 - Basics, adding knowledge on some of the more difficult standards such as recurrences of neoplasms, multiple primary neoplasms and wider excisions.

In this course we will be looking at the most complex coding standards in relation to coding of neoplasms. You will look at the dagger and asterisk conventions associated with anaemia in neoplastic diseases and also haematological neoplastic diseases such as leukaemia. If you haven't already, it is advisable that you complete the basic and intermediate courses for neoplasm first.

In this course, you’ll begin by learning what radiotherapy is and the different types of radiotherapy that can be performed. You will then look at the other standards associated with Radiotherapy.
